Habitat for Humanity Sarasota announces the recent opening of a clothing boutique at the 17th Street ReStore location in Sarasota. The intimate 450 square foot space houses fashionable brand name clothing collected from local donors and finds include designs from Chanel, Michael Kors, White House Black Market, Cache, Bebe, Chico’s, Talbots, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Fossil, Brighton and many more. The clothing boutique sells women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, handbags, shoes and jewelry. Typical prices for these items range between $3.00 and $40.00.
Habitat for Humanity Sarasota’s clothing boutique is open Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00am – 6:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:00am – 5:00pm. Monday thru Wednesday is spent restocking shelves with newly donated items. Since the clothing boutique opened its doors shoppers have increased daily and “sales have exceeded our expectations,” shares Renee Snyder.
Habitat Sarasota accepts donations of gently used, fashionable name brand clothing at both of their ReStore locations; in the donation receiving area on Bee Ridge Road, or at the donation receiving area at 17th Street. Pick up is available for clothing donations in large quantities (i.e., estate sales, clothing drives) or with any large furniture or building material donation. The clothing boutique is currently seeking volunteers who are knowledgeable in fashion to help sort clothing and also provide customer service to shoppers.
